Such beautiful, elegant swans, Bewicks start arriving from Siberia in October, to escape the harsh winters. Since working for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, they have always remained my absolute favourite swan.
Using dense streaky white glass, I have tried to capture the flowing elegant lines of the Bewick. Finished with a black glass eye for realism.
The swan is then mounted on to a waxed wooden base, ready to display anywhere in the home.
