This striking mirror makes a great unique present for cat lovers. I have used iridised opal blue glass for the border which gives an extra pearly sheen and catches the light very well. Opal glass is solid and doesn’t allow light through, it also means that when hung on a wall you cannot see patterned wallpaper or the wall colour behind it. The cat is made from white swirled opal glass, which is not quite so dense, but gives the impression of markings and movement. This mirror is hand crafted from start to finish. From cutting the glass from my pattern design, to copper foiling and soldering together. Because of this every mirror will differ very slightly, and every cat will have its own ‘character’.
The back of the mirror has a baize covering to prevent scratching, and has a hanging chain fitted, so is ready to go on a wall as soon as it arrives.
