The moon and hares have always had a link in myth and legend. This stunning hare mirror creates a real focal point to any room. The border uses mirrored sea green glass, giving solid colour that has a shiny ‘petrol’ effect. The hares are made from streaky and textured glass, and helps to give the impression of movement.
The mirror is hand crafted from start to finish. Firstly the mirror and border glass is cut and the edges are ground to make them smooth. They are then arranged and soldered together. Each hare is also made by the same process, and then finally they are added to the border.
The back of the mirror has a covering of baize to protect it from scratching, and has a chain at the back so it is ready to hang.
