This gorgeous stained glass kingfisher is hand crafted using three different textures of glass to give the appearance of actual feathers. My choice of glass is inspired from the bright and vibrant colours the kingfisher possesses, and makes it stand out as one of Britain’s most popular birds.
I have designed the pattern for this bird to accurately reflect its markings in my work. Every piece of glass is cut, copper-foiled and soldered together by hand and so will differ very slightly in every bird.
The Kingfisher is mounted onto three green leaves and the base attaches to the stake. It can be moved around your garden very easily to fill in gaps or give you a different focal point throughout the year. The stakes can stay outside all year round.
